blue_eyes1981 agony auntDid he buy gifts for other people? .i.e family, friends etc? If the answer is no then I wouldn't over-analyse too much.

If he did however then there was really no excuse for not getting you anything even a little trinket even if it didn't cost much - atleast the thought would have been there.

Have you discussed this with him? If he goes away again maybe just say in a light hearted way - that you would love something from the country he is going too. Maybe he'll get the hint but don't ask him outright for a gift.Just a little hint should do.

If he brings gifts from his travels for anyone else there is reason for concern.

Otherwise, it means nothing.

Where there is no expectation there is no disappointment.

Honeypie agony auntI don't know. If you expect things/gifts maybe tell him before he travels to bring you home a T-shirt/mug/magnet.. whatever.

I don't think it's a big deal.

Maybe he didn't want to seem pushy by buying you something or maybe he is just really sucky at the spontaneous knick knack/gift giving department.

The Realist agony auntI would say that he is cheap and isn't thinking about you when he is gone. Any time I was away from a gf for a week or more traveling I would find even just something small because I was thinking about them.
