writes:mixed signals,my friend split up with this guy, who i really like. he started to text me flirty texts n says he likes me. i asked him out, and he said that he needed time to sort his head out. so i left it a few days n text him, he was back to flirting with me. he keeps blowing hot and cold.then i went to see him one day after texting him, n he drove me home as he had to go to work, as he said that he didnt think that i was coming over, even though i texted to tell him i was. that night he texted me, but i havent heard since. what do i do?

 Would your friend be ok with you going out with her ex? It mightnt be a bad idea to talk to her about it first. As for this guy he really is blowing hot and cold and you dont know where you stand. If he needs to sort his head out then why is he texting you like this. It doesnt add up. I think you should blow a little cold air his way. He knows you like him as you asked him out but if you are too eager it will put him off. Let him do the chasing.

 I think he's enjoying the attention from you but doesn't want to take it further. He's not long out of a relationship so he may just want to play the field for a while. However he knows you like him, back off for a bit now and let him sort himself out. If he wants to take things further he only has to text you. If you continue running after him the way you are he'll only run in the opposite direction.
