A female United Kingdom age 36-40, anonymous writes:

im so confused. ive known this guy for about a year now, weve slowly become better friends, hung out in groups of friends alot, never alone. over the past couple of months things between us got a lil more flirty, all innocent though, then i found out he got a gf, but everyones telling me shes more interested in him than he is in her, and hes only going out with her cause he felt he had too.

then at a party this weekend he told a friend of mine the only reason he didnt bring his gf to the party is cause he know i was going to be there. he also later in the night got me alone, whilst he was pretty drunk and went to me, i dont understand you, i never know what youre thinking, i hear one thing then youre really mean to me (i suffer from a sarcastic sense of humour u see).

he holds my hand when no one is looking, rubs my back when were just sitting chatting, i catch him staring at me, all of this but hes got a gf, plus has a rep of being a ladies man. i have always said id never go out with him, cause hes such a flirt, this is why i dunno if im just the next person on his list, or if he genuinly likes me??

1 - He has a girlfriend.

2 - He has a reputation as a player.

You're basically the next person on his list, nothing more. This guy really is one to avoid. You don't want to get a reputation as a homewrecker and looks bad in front of others for making a silly mistake with a guy willing to cheat and use other women.
