I accepted, somewhat out of curiousity and the assurance that he was already friends with people I know on there. He seems decent enough and I guess I wouldn't mind getting to know him. My question now though is, now what? How do I approach him? Do I just wait until be approaches me? I think he's been looking at me. Another thing I should mention here I guess. The Sunday before he friended me I could have sworn he was looking at me. We still haven't spoken. He left at some point after church while I was talking to someone and I missed my chance at speaking with him then. What should I say to him if I should even approach him first?

Why not send him a short message saying hi how are you? See what happens.
Don't forget to live life off the Internet. Facebook is NOT living.

I think a good way to go would be by casually commenting on his latest status or pictures or leaving him a wall post, maybe even sending him a message saying something like "forgot to thank you for adding me:) How's it going?" (make sure to actually ask him something so that he would be expected to reply in return)- once you two start talking to each other online next time you see him in person it will be only natural that you say hi to each other and who knows where that might lead to eventually;) Good luck

You know I'm one of those annoying friends on Facebook that add people but forget to write on their wall. If your shy they write on his wall, first and see if he comments. Start with hey, or you can talk about church, school, or work. Maybe go grab lunch together after church.
