He can't let my past go...

My boyfriend wont forget what has happened to me in the past, he is always saying how it affects him and makes him upset, but he still says that he loves me loads and its only when he is reminded about what happened he hates me and wonders why he is with me, but he seems to be remembering it all more and more

i am always trying to tell him that everything is in the past and that we both need to forget about it

i think that my past might spilt us up

i dont know what i can do to make it better

Yos agony auntThere isn't much you can do. The past can't be changed.

This problem is your boyfriend's problem, not yours. Only he can get his head out of that negative place.

All you can do is make sure that you know it's not your fault. You haven't done anything wrong, don't let him make you feel bad for this.

look, your really young, the reality is that you two are not going to be together very long... split up now and let him get over whatever his problem is. One day he MIGHT grow up enough to understand that everyone has a past and that only thing that matters is that we chose to spend the present with the people we love.

I'm not sure what happened in the past. But whatever has happened, he either needs to accept it or you need to move on.
