I am 22 years old and me and my boyfriend had sex last night. When he stopped he told me that he did come inside me but it was just a little bit. I got right up and went to the bathroom. I may have gotten it out. But would I still get pregnant?

Dr. Reality Check agony auntTry this. Put a spoonful of yoghurt on a piece of tissue. Then scrape the yoghurt off. The tissue is still damp right? Well, thats what it is like after he came in you. You probably got most of it out, but there are millions of sperms in an ejaculation, and it only takes one to get you pregnant. I would get a pregnancy test, and use a condom next time!

Yes, you can be pregnant. It only takes a very small amount of sperm to get pregnant. Go and get a morning after pill. It's better than an unwanted baby. But do take care in the future, get birth control sorted out.

Best wishes

A female reader, stina United States +, writes (27 November 2006):

stina agony auntHi there Anon,

Yes, you can still get pregnant. Go ahead and call your doctor right now to get the morning after pill - it has to be done within 72 hours of intercourse. It will most likely make you feel sick to your stomach, but it's better than getting pregnant when you don't want to be!

Here is some info on it:

You should also see about getting on the pill, too, while you're at the appointment. Either that, or just be sure to have condoms on sure for next time.

Take care.
