A male reader, Honest Answer United States +, writes (2 January 2010):

Honest Answer agony auntIt appears that you and him do not want the same thing from this relationship. You really need to go out and date. If you all are talked that much and haven't moved closer to your implied goal (a relationship) its time to move on. I really wish you the best.

Good Luck!

AuntyEm agony auntBe happy with the friendship and get on with your life. The distance is a major factor to his decision I am sure, but if you stay upbeat and friendly you can let him know what is going on in your life and perhaps inspire him in the future to move closer so that you can maybe establish a closer relationship.

Unless your in a position to 'up sticks', move to his doorstep and lay your heart on the line, I don't think there is much else you can do.

with love

A female reader, anonymous, writes (2 January 2010):

I think he does like you but he's afraid to let his feelings go becaue of the "distance". Statistically speaking, long distance relationships will fail at some point. If you lived closer I'm sure he would make a go of it.
