Whether he has found this out without you knowing or is haboring it from a conversation you two have had about ex bf's or something, there is definately an issue that he has which is manifesting itself in this name calling.

 I dont think love even comes into this... Sounds as though hes a controlling A$$. If someone loves you and they row with you yes they throw words into the ring, but not ones like that!! I think hes having an affiar and is blaming you, trying to get you to dump his sorry arse, people normally change like that when there is something else going on and they feel guilty but rather than face up to it they use the abuse chalice... kick his arse to the kerb, no one deserves to be treated/spoken to like especially by those they love!
