Sometimes i feel he's just playing around...he's too immature and says he doesn't want to be tied down...that's why he's never been in a serious relationship.

There really is only one way, and that's to speak to him. He might be totally confused about it all. Or he might not feel what you hope he does, in which case at least you'll be able to start moving on. You need to talk to him.
