We exchanged email addresses so we could keep in contact. Then the other day we met up to work on the assignment and we finished it prety early, but he stayed around and we talked for hours, it was really good, we got along really well. Then at the end when we were leaving to go home, he said to me "I suppose I wont see you for a whole week because of holidays next week...can I have your number incase I think of some brillient idea for our assignment which I just cant wait to tell you about??". I said yes, so he got mine and I got his. Do you think maybe he likes me? Or do you think he honestly did ask for my number just incase he thinks of some 'brillient idea' he cant 'wait to tell me about'???

He likes you. He already had your email, if he wasn't interested in more he'd have no reason to ask for your number.

Sounds to me like he might like you, but I could always be wrong. He did the can I have your number "just in case" technique which usually works if he was wanting your number for other reasons. I would probably say expect a call sometime, and not just for the assignment haha
Hope this helped at all :)
