For one this 16 year old will get done by the police. It's legal for her but not for you. You are still young and I'm sure you haven't figured out what you want. Are you sure your ready for this?If you truly feel you are I would still keep it from your parents. I'm sure they don't need to know their 13 year old is having a sexual relationship with a 16 year old.

But if I read the original poster's later reply correctly, in which she says she's had sex with that girl for two years, the older girl was 14 back then. My question is: if it is illegal for someone over 16 to have sex with someone younger, should you stop seeing your younger partner on the day your turn 16, if you've been with her for years? These two have been having sex long enough, if they enjoy it, let them enjoy it.

my concern is that you are only 13 and should not be in a sexual relationship with anyone male or female even more so when they are over the age of 16. You do not need to tell your parents anything but i would suggest you stop sleeping with this girl especailly as she could actually be arrested fo what you are both doing due to your young age. Ignore advice to try boys just step back you are still young and don't need to rush into anything.

1) Don't tell anyone at all under any circumstances - this is your own private business - but don't feel guilty about it, either - again, it is your business
2) Plan to try (at some point) a boy, as they have their advantages ; )

When I was 14 (still a virgin) my best friend and I had our first sexual encounter. We never told anyone, but our close friends figured it out. It lasted on and off for over three years. But once I discovered guy/girl sex...I wanted the real thing! We remained friends for over 20 years...She remained gay...I married. So don't jump to the conclusion that you are totally gay!
