yes yes and yes!!! i broke up with my ex september 2009. we are in the same college and even in the same class. and its a pretty small college so everyone is pretty much in everyones face.
he started dating someone and so did i. (in fact i started dating his best friend but thats a story for another day.... and i know it wasnt very nice of me but he treated me like dirt for the most part and broke my heart over and over again...)
its been almost two years and even though i am now in a loving relationship with an amazing guy, its hard for me to be in souch close proximity with him. i am over him. but its still hard.
what i can tell you is that just give it time and dont be so hung up on him. go out, live life, have fun, make new friends!!!
in due time he will be nothing but a part of your past that made you the amazing person you are today.

haha, I have! When I was in 6th form here (about 16 / 17) a month or so after me and an ex broke up she and another one of my friends started going out. It was all made a bit more awkward as we were all part of the same social group, socialising every day. We broke up on good terms but it was still a bit weird at first. I'm now 19 and their still together, and they're still two of my closest friends. But yeah, it was awkward to start with!
