We are both a member of the student council. My point is: we do not see each other that much now (as we both have exams), but I really like him. We 've skyped, have each other on fb and twitter, and we text each other. So in Dutch "to have a soft spot" for someone is "een boontje hebben voor" (= literal translation: "to have a bean for someone").A few weeks ago, I was in a funny mood and decided to text him (a tricky, flirty 'joke' -you know, exam humor!).I sent him:"(Interactief) mopje! Zeg, heb je een boontje voor mij? :)" (In proper English: "(Interactive) joke! Do you have a soft spot for me?")(Literal translation: "(Interactive) joke! Do you have a bean for me?")My original plan was to text him (after he answered)aforementioned text: "Ik heb er zelfs twee voor jou: prinsessenboon en koffieboon!" (Literal translation: "I even have two beans for you: a French bean and a coffee bean!")BUT after the first text he answered: "Meer dan één zelfs ;) " (Literal translation: "Even more than one ;) ")SO what do you guys think about this? Although he likes very often things on fb, asks me how I am doing etc., I don't know whether he likes me or not, I cannot read his mind. Does he really has a soft spot for me, or is he just joking?

Awe, I think that is cute. I would say that yes he does have a soft spot for you. He sent you back something cute instead of just a "lol" or "haha" which isn't the same. He is also showing that he cares about what you have to tell him about your day. Tbh I have tons of other things I could be doing rather then texting a girl about how an average day went but yet I do ask and want to keep a conversation going.
In other words he cares about you. From my experience if it was just a friend thing you wouldn't get as much attention. So my conclusion is that he likes you. My question to you know is what are you going to do?

That is so cute, "I even have two beans for you: a French bean and a coffee bean." I wish I spoke Dutch so I could tell that joke. He is definitely flirting with you. My guess is he likes you especially if you guys talk or at least stay in touch when both of you are busy.
