writes: Has anyone ever felt that they can never get over their ex.My ex was the love of my life. I am in a relationship right now.I compare every guy to him.Every one else always falls short.I know I am wrong.What can I do?I know there are still feelings at least on my side.Nothing seems to make it go away.Is anyone there like me and what did you do to get over this pain? Its been 8 years.There is a dull ache in the heart when ever I think of him.He treated me very badly.But still I don't hold any grudges.Really stupid of me.:(.Thanks for the answers.

 It seems like it will never go away until it goes away, it just sort of faded after i started truly realizing it wasn't my fault what happened happened. Then my mind started to shift into thinking of what to do next, odds are the same will happen to you. Do mind it took a while for this to happen tho.

Heh... my ex. I don't think a day goes by I don't think of him even though we've both moved on. It's an utter pain, isn't it! It does get a lot easier, though. God, even just a month ago I was so much worse than I am now. Give it time, wounds will heal, scars will fade and you WILL love again. I promise you.
