Because I can't see any good explanation for the consistent deterioration of my life. It is also strange, no matter how good choices I make, and how much effort I invest, there is no good outcome ever. Usually the worst scenario......So, cause and effect does not work. My family is tormented with mysterious illnesses, and all sort of paralyzing setbacks. Only people can understand this who are experienced this in their own life. The final worst thing is death, and it already happened. I don't know what to think, as all my investigation for causes were futile. Please, give me your thoughts. Reply to this Question Share |

When someone get in this kind of situations, usually they have to find their own way out....

Good question. But it is terrible to hear of your suffering.
In the modern world, we naturally scoff at such ideas as supernatural causes for suffering. Our cultural bias is that anything for which we do not see a direct cause is not true.
But this is arrogance.
Personally I believe there is a spiritual cause for suffering. We are all connected, even though we do not see it. Whether or not you believe the biblical account, it is pretty clear that humans descend from one source. And when we hurt others we somehow add to the collective suffering of the world. And unfortunately, we suffer, too, for the actions of others. We see this as with something as simple as a person smiling at us: we feel better and we are encouraged, and this causes us to do good to others.
Similarly, when we are spiritually ill at ease, we can experience physical suffering.
As for divine punishment, I do not know. I do believe that the actions we take against fellow man and our world estrange us from God, and this causes great suffering.
I take issue with your statement that the final, worst thing is death. I think the worst thing is really separation while alive, not death.
Anyway, I do wish you well.

We really don't know why bad things sometimes happen to good people. We do know that life is not always fair. I am sorry for your trouble.
It sounds as if you are coming to the conclusion that God is testing you with all of this tragedy. Certainly there are lessons to be learned from adversity in life. However, if it all feels like it is getting to be too much for you to bear, seek help. Do you belong to an organized religion? Religious leaders, and the people in their congregations, can provide support during trying times. They are also the people to talk to about the spiritual aspect of your unfortunate circumstances.
I will keep you in my thoughts.
