There's one guy, when asked if he knew me, said, "Oh yeah, she has really big boobs." Swear to God. My friends said, "Oh you should be flattered! It means he was looking at you! Guys are always like that at this age. Stuff like that is all they think about." 1. No, I'm not flattered. I'm not the kind of girl who wants to be known for her chest size. 2. He wasn't looking at ME; he was off by roundabout a foot. 3. Are they? Is it?I guess that's my question. Are guys in high school simply so hormonal that they can't keep their eyes to themselves? Is the first thing they notice about a girl REALLY the size of her chest? It seems to me like they have no self control, and it's a little hard for me to understand. Whenever I get a crush on a guy it's because of his personality, sense of humor, or something else- rarely because of physical aspects. I've liked guys that my friends have even called downright ugly. I'm sort of rambling on, but if you get my point, could you please clarify?

it's probably because of their age. they have raging hormones and boobs are these fun things that they want to get their hands on.
when guys get older and more mature they start to look up at your face and notice the whole of you, rather then just the boobs.

Personally, The first thing I notice is her face and hair. I am probably more attracted to a cute face more than anything else. The way she wears her hair is also a big factor for me. If a girl can pick the right hairstyle that complement's her face and personality, wether it be long and straight, or a cute pixie cut, I'll melt.
I also notice her clothes. Does her style scream independence and personality? If it does, then I would definitely notice you.
Don't get me wrong, I love breasts of all shapes and sizes, but they are definitely not the first thing I notice.

I would love to tell you that you're wrong about the "typical" high school guy... but I can't. You're also going to hear that women mature faster/earlier than men. And your comment directly supports that as well. So, it means that you're going to have to put up with them as they are still trying to get a handle on the social issues of life, growing up, and the testosterone pump that went into overdrive without a shutoff valve.
Although I'd love to comfort you and tell you that we get better getting closer to college age... which is mostly true... there are still stragglers on the social scale. To that, I site any college fraternity party!

Honey,,
Have you ever noticed when a lad comes to say high he doesnt actually say hi to you?? Hes actually saying hi to your chest??
This often happens to me!! So now when a lad says hi to my chest i bend down and say hi to there crotch wich is really embarassing for them and quite funny for yourself,, as time goes by lads will mature and actually realise that they want to get to know you and they like you for you personality not just your looks!! So when you say hi to a lad and he doesnt say hi to your chest,, and he says hi to your EYES that is much better and you will know ether to like that guy :D x

I think guys in your age group notice a girls face first, but saying to your friends "she has a really pretty face" would be considered "wimpy" and his friends would probably laugh at him. It's just a problem with how men are viewed in this macho society.Men cannot have feelings or they are not manly. But men do have feelings and do care about more than your body.

I'm of a different generation, but even when I was much younger I was not all that focused on breasts. Honestly, a fairly pretty face, long hair, sweet personality and overall figure was much more important then and now.
