writes:Silly question but I'm intrigued...GUYS Is the amount of x's in a text an indicator of how much he likes you??This guy I'm texting at the moment usually puts 3 x's... then less often 2 x's and then less often 1x and the least often 4x's.IMO he seems to put 1x when he's stressed or panicky about something and 4xs when hes being mega cheeky. So my question is, do the x's in texts depend on how much they like you or what mood they're in?? Think I've just answered my own question but thoughts are welcome lolI personally always put 2x's no matter who I'm talking to.

I know I personally put 'xxx' if I like the girl a lot & want her to suspect.
'xx' if I just fancy her & 'x' for every one else.

NOT for carrying on relationships.
I don't think it matters at all.
my husband hates texting and never puts any xs and never did even when we were dating... he rarely texted either.
do not base how a man feels about you by how often he texts or if he puts x or o in it

So, your guy friend is all over the place, he may have mental issues. I would call the police.
