 Tell him it bothers you and that you'd like him to stop.
It's possible he may have developed some feelings for you and that's what's causing this as well.
Be honest with him though. If he's such a good friend that shouldn't be hard.

Obviously not. Im just stating the truth, or maybe I see your not feeling very confident and want to boost you up abit.He probably feels good giving others compliments especially his best friends and he maybe has a little crush on you but it doesn't automatically mean he wants to be your boyfriend/sleep with you etc. If someone gives you a compliment simply thank them and believe it!!
