ArmyMedic agony auntLook further into the site, you will find lots of people get very harsh answers, if you post a (silly) question in an open forum, you are going to get a range of answers, most of which will be harsh.

If you want a hug and fluffy answer ask your Mum!

As for your poor grammar, try slowing down when you type and then your posts will reflect your true abilities.

ArmyMedic agony auntIf you posted your age as 16-17 rather than 13-15 we may have treated you slightly differently, but buy the way you master the use of the English language, we have to assume you are not actually that mature. Also if he is studying to be a Paramedic he should know the dangers of teenage pregnancy (trust me on that one!)

Also it is possible to get STIs as a virgin so I don't think you are as "clued up" as you think, otherwise you wouldn't have posted this question in the first place!

A female reader, anonymous, writes (4 June 2009):

I'm 18 years old, so really close to your age. I'd like to point out that you do not seem mature. Yes, stupid kids are having sex at the age of 13, why? I have no idea. But that does not mean that it is okay. We're suppose to cherish our childhood, not jump into the adult world. Sex just brings problems, considering majority of the stuff on this site is about teen pregnancy. Not only can you not spell (and you claim to be well educated) but you do not seem to fully understand the severity of having a child at your age. Yes, your boyfriend may not leave you, but do you really think that you will be able to handle school with a baby, will you be able to support the child financially, will you be willing to put your child first and pretty much have a non-existent social life? Most girls around our age wouldn't be able to. I hope you aren't pregnant, but there is a chance you could be. Just remember it's always safer to use all possible contreceptives.

kay well im 16 yrs old going on 17

i dnt think im that underaged?

i know of ppl having sex at likw 13 or 14!

i have only had sex with one guy that ive been friends with for like 5 years

we have been dating for almost a year now

alright so if you could not lecture me thanks

because i know about all the procautions

and what weekens the effect of brith control i am well educated and very very mature for my age

the ONLY reason i havent used a condom with my bf is because im very aware of birth control and its effects and my bf is 100 percent clean we lost our virginity to eachother so i know i wont be getting any STDs

sorry if this seems liek im spazing out just i hate because of my age that adults dont think im well aware of the facts of sexual education.

thank you and i would still like it fi ppl gave me more sides of my question and please dont lecture me on my age

and sorry one last thing if i were to become pregnant i am well suited to take care of a child my bf would not leave me hes alreadi told me this and hes going to school to become a paramedic and im going to be going to college to study law so i am mature enough and well off to take care of a child so im damn mature enough to be having sexual intercourse with my lover

thank you

A female reader, starfairy United Kingdom +, writes (3 June 2009):

starfairy agony auntChrist, what's the point in lecturing her. Underage sex happens, there's nothing you can do about it apart from offer advice & make sure these kids know the facts so at least if they're going to have sex, they're smart about it.

Honey - you can get pregnant when you're just using the pill, it's something like a 2% chance, but I do know a couple of girls who fell pregnant just using the pill. Although one of them was on antibiotics and didn't realise this stopped the pill working - she was 21 at the time, the doctor never bothered advising her and she didn't know.

You can get pregnant any time of the month during your cycle, there are times when you are more or less likely to though. I would seriously recommend using condoms as well as the pill, just be totally safe, babies are cut and great if you don't want to have a life for the next 16 years at least lol. Also, if you're not using condoms, you can catch STDs, things like genital warts are with you for life, it never goes away.

Be safe xx

ArmyMedic agony auntOf course there is always a chance of falling pregnant, so to prevent this, always use condoms, ALWAYS!!

Or better still, don't have sex till you can look after a child!
