No, no, no, 12-year olds should NOT be having sex. We won't go into all the reasons here - start another thread on that topic if you want to know why.
If your religion, or family values, forbid masturbation then you are facing a very real conflict that you are probably not equipped to deal with at your age. Your school counselors can probably help you with this but that would take at least twice as much courage and maturity as most 12-year olds have, so I am glad you asked the question here. (By the way - I am NOT insulting you with that comment, only making a statement about where you are in life. Enjoy being 12, and doing the things that are appropriate for 12-year olds!)
If you are not faced with that kind of prohibition then don't be afraid to experiment with masturbation. Keep in mind that it is a very personal, private activity. It can be pleasurable in it's own right! It can help you control inappropriate sexual urges. For some women it helps relieve menstrual cramps. By learning about your body's sexual response you will be in a better position to help your lover please you when you start adult lovemaking.
As far as most guys are concerned, you will still be a virgin with or without a hymen, whether you have or haven't masturbated, or whether you know what your orgasm is like. It IS true that SOME men will expect - even require - you to have an intact hymen when you start having sexual intercourse. Even if it's not a requirement, the majority of guys get a special satisfaction from knowing they ruptured a girl's hymen. But "losing your virginity" involves a lot more than just the physical coupling of genitals. (Even at a purely physiological level, much of the discomfort you MIGHT experience during your first intercourse comes from stretching your vaginal muscles to receive the guy's erection, rather than breaking your hymen.)
This doesn't have to be a problem for you. For most women, masturbation involves touching the lips, clitoris, and vaginal opening rather than putting things inside far enough to break the hymen. Many women masturbate by pressing a firm but yielding object - like a stuffed animal, pillow, or the back of their hand - against their pubic area, without passing inside the lips at all.

I suspect you want to keep your hymen. You would if you don't use vibrators or this sexual toys which are made to put in vagina. Use your fingers, think of nice things, go to the quiet place.
Enjoy with your body and don't worry, you will keep your virginity until guy put his penis into your vagina. You were right, it's just too soon to lose your virginity. Take your time.

THe best way to masturbate is to have some quiet time, when no one will interupt you, and its private! Then jsut feel your body and start touching yourself down there, and see what feels good - the better it feels, the better!! Have fun and enjoy yourself!!
