Friend whom I lost contact with is back in my life; should I date him after he sort of dated my best friend?

two years ago i was talking to a friend, we both liked each other very much but as time passed by we stopped speaking neither one of us remember why but he claims to now miss me and i miss him but the problem is that he "dated' my best friend it was a really weird relationship because they were together for about 2 months and saw eachother twice. Should i continue talking to him and date him?

eyeswideopen agony auntOf course you should, they didn't have much a relationship to begin with did they!? You can check with your friend and see if she is okay with it but I don't think she will mind since she hardly was ever really with him. I say go for it.
