A male Australia age 41-50, anonymous writes:

When I have some form of sexual experience with my partner I feel really really happy for a day or so, but after that I start to want sex again and my mood starts to drop, and I don't feel really happy again until we have sex again. Is this normal? I find it a bit odd.

A male reader, nologo Ukraine +, writes (20 July 2007):

nologo agony auntCorrelation between mood and desire for sex.

There are physical and emotional parts of it.

Sex drive is physical - this is something that you just have.

As to the emotional: it may overlay sex drive to some extent.

Probably this is happening in your case - it's my explanation.

A female reader, bemused Canada +, writes (19 July 2007):

bemused agony auntSounds to me like the sex represents some sort of reasurance that your partner desires you and wants you. Also sexual activity releases endorphins which put most people in a good state of mind. You can get the same feeling...the endorphin rush when you work out. You may be craving that same feeling again. Hope this sheds some light on this.
