A male reader, The Realist Canada +, writes (8 January 2010):

The Realist agony auntIt's hard to do much because your friend will probably get angry that your interfering. If she's a good friend of your's then she'll get over it if you tell her you have to pick just one guy although it's not your responsibility to do so. Eventually they will find out about each other then there could be big problems that again you don't have to get involved in but thats hard to do when she is your friend. I say talk to her about this and see if that works otherwise inorder to keep the frienship you might just have to wait this one out. Two guys and one girl usually does not last too long. I hope you don't lose too much sleep over her problem although I know you care which is a great thing to have in a friend and I hope she realizes this.
