Friend keeps breaking dates

A male New Zealand age 51-59, *uckshot writes:

i have kept making dates with a female friend but alwyas get an excuse for her not turning up. yet when she wants me there for a date or somthing else, she gets upset if i dont show on time. what can i do to make this an even playing field so to speak?

Either you can quit asking her out so she'll freak out about why you're not asking her out anymore then she'll want to actually go out with you and not flake. Or just bring it up when she asks you out next time (face-to-face while you're together). Tell her that you obviously enjoy spending time with her and that's why you ask her out, but you dont' really think it's fair that she throws a fit about your punctuality when she makes excuses to not turn up because it's making you think that she feels otherwise. She's self centered or playing games, so either way it's probably good to call her out on it or beat her at her own game.
