Back in January a girl I used to work with asked me to cut her hair (I had qualified in July as a level 2 in hairdressing ). Now I had cut her hair once before and she was happy with it hence the other job she booked me for.Now she emailed me a picture of what she wanted so when I got to her house I checked she still wanted it and she said yes. I did the cut, a long graduated bob as she asked.... She then asked for layers and for it to be shorter, So I then had to do that and the shape of hhe cut changed. Anyway she seemed happy with what I did.Now I just read on facebook that she had her hair cut elsewhere - I don't mind as it's her choice but under her coments she has written "the other girl who did it last time messed it up" I can assure you it wasn't messed up!!I think she forgot that I had to cut her hair on my knees as she had no chairs coz she was moving so she had to sit on a bean bag and her child kept running in and out so she wasn't always still!I'm scared she is going to give me a bad reputation! I have other clients and no one has complained.I'm so angry.... If she hated it then why not tell me straight away???I don't want to confront her.

people will always blame the hairdresser if the style doesn't suit her. dont worry about it, the style may have no looked good on her but you did what she wanted!

Stick with the clients you have and if she comes around, tell her that you are booked. Ignore the facebook comment- if she were a mature adult she would have confided in you. Never doubt your abilities just because of one bad egg. She chose not to tell you, so it is her loss, not yours.

Ignore her then. If she didnt complain to you right away she had no right to complain later. Thats how it works in the salons I've gone to anyways. And for the future, do not accept jobs where you are not offered proper working conditions. Just say no. You should not have to stand on your knees or have to deal with a bean bag.
But for this woman, I think its best to simply ignore her. Customer is always right as they say, and that will take you further than a fight with her will take you.
