I have missed four periods now, and taken about 8 at home tests, all negative. I have no signs of pregnancy, other than a little weight gain (I would say due to my poor diet lately). I have always had a regular period, and never have missed before. Is it possible that although I have taken all of these at home test, I am pregnant? I'm stressing myself out over this. I called my doctor to set up an appointment last month, the closest open time isn't until about two weeks from now. When I called, I expressed my stress for the issue, but the woman on the phone seemed to just think I am an idiot for even thinking after taking all these tests that it could even be possible. Someone please tell me she's right?

Oh, Hun!!!
You need to be the master of your own destiny. Pregnancy is a pretty progressive thing, and it doesn't go backwards in time!
If your ARE pregnant, do you really want to leave this in the hands of an employee?
Pregnancy tests can be wrong. You need a blood test. You need to go and see an OB/GYN.

First off, try to relax as stress is going to delay your period even more.
Now, seeing as you've already taken so many tests it's unlikely that you are pregnant. However, there is still a small chance. HPT's work by testing for a certain hormone that your body produces when you're pregnant. In some cases the woman isn't producing enough of this hormone for the tests to pick it up. If that was the case, you could take a pregnancy test when you already for sure you're pregnant and it will still come up as negative.
So, go speak to your doctor, he/she will be able to say whether this is happening because of stress or maybe a hormone inbalance (I know, you'd think it can't happen when you're using birth control but it happened to me too although i'm usually always on time). If your doctor thinks there is a chance you are pregnant, he/she will take a blood test as these are a lot more accurate.

So when I first started the pill, I got my period regularly for 3 months, and then for the following 6 months it was very irregular, only showing up once for roughly 2 days max. Being pregnant wasn't a viable reason, so I went to my doctor who informed me that I'm just irregular with cycles.
None the less, check with your doctor the first chance you get.
