A female age 30-35, anonymous writes:

Hello everyone. I have a major crisis on my hands. My ex and I got back together just over a week ago and I guess were going out. Last night we had a date and besides never doing anything with a guy not even kissing one, we made out. It was so awkward, I haven't talked to him since and I just feel really awkward about the whole thing. Am I just feeling this way because it was my first time or was I am I just not ready for a serious relationship?

Everyone has a first time,so i wouldn't worry. I bet he is feeling just the same. Try and relax more. How about a bath together and gently lead into love making? Things do happen which make us cringe after the event. I know i have had plenty of them! Don't let it spoil things for you two. I bet the next time is much better. Spending time together talking and even discussing the things you both like and don't like can often ease the situation. If he does mention it (i bet he won't) then i would treat it very light heartedly and brush it to one side. But do talk. I bet you are laughing about it in the future.

Take care

cd206 agony auntFirst kisses are always awkward!! After my first kiss I was left wondering why anyone bothered to kiss cos it was so nasty. You have to practise kissing to make it feel less awkward. However I think the main problem in your case is that you were kissing someone you still see as an ex, something else which will resolve itself in time. Try to chill and it'll all be alright.

Tinkz agony auntWell my point of view you are too young for a serious relationship! Have fun, go wild!

The first kiss is always weird but it is also very special!

And the best thing is, is that you shared it with someone that actually means soething to you!

Speak to him, tell him how you feel and his reaction is most likely to be, you are silly, i enjoyed kissing those lovely lips of yours and then he will probably kiss you again, and the more you kiss the more comfortable you will become

A male reader, Dagwood South Africa +, writes (15 January 2007):

Dagwood agony auntWell it's pretty normal to feel awkward after your first intimate experience, he probably feels the same way! It might feel like a major crisis but it's not so don't over react.

It's not the relationship but maybe you're moving things a little too fast? Talk to him about it and share some deep thoughts and secrets with each other. Sit back to back when you do this it might make it easier to let things out. This will help you both feel more intimate and trust each other more. Just take things slowly, be sure that you really love each other and be carefull!
