If your hymen is no longer in tact, then he should most definitely notice it. But that shouldn't matter. The reason you are having sex with him in the first place is because you have both developed a great deal of trust, love, and respect for one another. Your explanation of why should be enough as he should be able to trust you.
Don't be embarassed about telling him you masterbate, most guys find this arousing, and chances are, he masterbates as well....

Virginity is often cited as a state of mind... this is because people have different opinions about what it is. in the physical sense some believe that you are a virgin until you have full vaginal penetrative sexual intercourse. however some claim that once a person has partaken in any sexual act such as fingering... they are no longer a virgin. Virginity in our culture is nothing to do with having your hymen in tact as this can be broken easily through sport, insertion of tampons or you could have been born without one. I would say that because you have not yet had sex you are a virgin, it however is dependant on your personal and cultural beliefs
