writes: my fiance is very beautiful and a wonderful person however she has no self esteem and is anorexic. a couple months back she was doing great with her eating but not so good with her mood. against my wishes and judgement her psychologist and docter thought it best to put her on anti deperessents. her mood is vastly inproved but she is literally eating almost nothing except sugar free lollies which have a laxitive effect. she has also become very confused about what she wants to do with her life and isnt even sure that she wants to marry me anymore. I know she has been trying to push me away because she has no self worth but she is now talking about booking a holiday overseas staying with an old friend of hers so she can get a break and think about things. i feel like i have invested everything i am in this relationship and that this trip is her saying she needs to evaluate our relationship. i am very protective of her and honestly even needy sometimes, i have my own issues in regard to abandonment and trusting people. i worry that because she has bad self esteem she will seek attention from other men and often has in the past although not when i was dating her. i feel as if she is getting more distant from me and i dont know where our relationship is heading. i would just appreciate your opinions on where you think this may lead or what i should do, anyone who has had anorexia or an eating disorder your opinions and views would be greatly appreciated.

It's time for her to go back to the doctor, and you to go with her. She's not getting better with this anorexia but increasingly worse. If she refuses you going, then I would call up her parents and have them help you out.
Anorexia can eat a person alive. Your whole mind is consumed with counting calories, excessive exercising, moving in general because you can't be sitting, taking laxatives, or purging. After all that "work" your body still isn't thin. You lose self-esteem, your hair starts thinning, and your period disappears. It's unhealthy and dangerous. I finally stopped when my mother took me to the doctor and threatened to put a feeding tube down my throat.
Since she's not yet your wife, she's not really your responsibility and you have no say when it comes to her health. But she does and her parents still do. So with the right amount of people helping you, you can help her to turn it around.

She needs to work on herself and go see a doctor or enter rehab, please dont just ignore her problem or something bad will happen. Theres a quote "THE GREATEST LOVE YOU CAN HAVE IS THE ONE WITH YOURSELF AND IF YOU FIND SOMEONE TO LOVE YOU, WELL THATS JUST FABULOUS" She needs to fix herself before any relationship can be fixed.hope this helped.GOOD LUCK AND MAY GOD BE WITH YOU!
