tennisstar88 agony auntThe no contact rule is used to get over an ex, not get them back.

In my experience, once no contact rule was initiated I never heard from them again. If I did they were looking for a hook-up. The ones who had jumped from me to another relationship(rebound), eventually dumped that short lived relationship and moved onto another girl or played the field for a while.

My experience is they use the rebound, then move on to someone else. They nearly never come back.

Abella agony auntthey may come back once or even twice. But they still leave again. Once they leave once, but then come back to try again, but then leave a second time never bother with them ever again as you cannot rely on them. And when ever the going gets tough they will wimp out. That's when you learn that you shouldn't even (usually) take an Ex back in the first

place. It only delays the inevitable.

Find a partner with backbone who is a stayer.

There is always a reason why an Ex is an Ex. Over time people forget why the Ex became an Ex. But the same problems sirface again because the Ex still embodies the same issues that caused problems in the past.

And although I have never been divorced I have been told by those who have been divorced that a person on their first new relationship (straight after leaving their marriage) is to be avoided. Their reasoning being that the person is still in shock over the ending of their marriage. And therefore does not entirely know what they really do want in a partner.
