 I have not actually done so myself but I know people who have. One turned out really badly because she did not really get to know this guy and ended up at a random party with him. I don't think you'd ever do something like that so focus on my next example. This guy a used to work with met a girl online through the site eharmony and after being togther for almost two years they are happily married.
If you do it through a site with a good reputation it is an execellent way to meet people as friends or for a relationship.
