If this was your first time at sex [as in you personally first time EVER] then your hymen will have broken, which causes bleeding.
It differs from woman to woman on how much you bleed.
If the bleeding exceeds five days, you should talk to your General Practitioner [I don't mean to sound patronising - but make sure it's not just your period!].
I would recommend a condom EVERY time, however if you've both had sexual partners before than perhaps you might like to get checked out.
Hope this helps!

How long ago did you have sex? If you both had not had previous sexual partners then it's unlikey that you have any STDs. Condoms are always a good idea though, added protection is a good idea. I don't know the cause of your bleeding, or how severe it is but if it's something you're really worried about you should talk to your doctor. I hope this helps some, if you have other questions you can message me or anyone on here.
