The dr released me back to work but I've been having major issues getting and keeping an erection. If I do get one it goes away the moment I attemp to engage in sex. Is there anything I can do to help me?

You might have lost a lot of your confidence following the shooting and surgery. Its totally understandable. Some counselling might help you a great deal.

I think you should go back to the doctor. This could be a physical thing, or it could be a mental thing. The only real way to tell is to go to the doctor.

I know that a trauamatic experience can cause a man to suffer from ED and that incident sounds extremely traumatic. I suggest seeking psychological help.
