Dumped him for various red flags, agree or disagree?

Question - (1 August 2012) 8 Answers - (Newest, 2 August 2012)
A female United States age 30-35, *UKM writes:

Dated a guy for almost 2 years andhe never ever took me to his house or showed me where he lived. I found that creepy and asked him about it several times but he just ignored my requests to see his place. Dumped him eventually for that and a bunch of other red flag stuff that happened. Mistake or good call?

He never wanted to go on vacation with me . Always had an excused and only wanted to go away when it was good for him, where it was good for him . Never anywhere I wanted to go. Besides being obviously inconsiderate, I found his behavior suspicious, feeling there was another reason only he could decide when and where we went and eventually dumped him for that and a bunch of other weird stuff he did and could never explain. Agree or disagree ?

You did the right thing. He was hiding something, possibly married or involved with someone else and if not, just wanted his own way all the time without concern for your feelings.

Am glad you think enough of yourself to know he's not worth it.

There will be someone better for you.

Good call! Really? Hon, obviously you haven't had someone treat you well to know what it feel likes to have someone really into you. Run, run, run. Never ever let someone treat you badly. A guy who is really into you can not wait to introduce you to his friends and family and will always be talking about the future in some way to include you in his life. Remember you are the queen! He should be coming to you, pursuing you! Be the beautiful, fun and sensuous woman you are. Be happy, and men will flock around you. There are plenty of losers out there. I would rather be alone than not to have all that I want.

RUKM agony auntWe were long distance and he kept moving to new places so every time I visited he would be "just settling in" etc I know it was lame as heck in hindsight. Thanks all for your hard truth answers!

Sounds like he's married or living with someone because you can't go to his house and everything has to be done on his time frame. I find it hard to believe dating someone for two years and not knowning where he live. A red flag should have gone up the first week you met him so yes you did the right thing by dumping him and plus I would cut all contact with that scum.

Why did it take you two years to dump him?

I can't imagine DATING a person and never see where they live or how they live. So, yes THAT would be a red flag.

It seems like he dated you out of convenience and you dated him why? Because you hoped he would change? Or hoped things would happen?

He could be married or seeing someone else?
