Don't want to break things up, but my boyfriend and I are drifting apart!

I really love my boyfriend but since starting university we seem to be drifting apart, i have sort of put this down to me maturing quicker than he his but it is starting to aggravate me as he is sometimes very narrow minded and no longer very passionate. I want to try new exciting things in life but he seems happy to just sit and watch t.v. and doesn't seem very interested in us doing other things together. Is there any way I can put up with or change this a bit? I don't want our relationship to end!
