reader, anonymous, writes (5 October 2010): sweetheart, he sounds like a right muppet :') you do wha makes YOU happy, and to be honest, it's easy! when you're kissing, just gently touch his lips with your tongue, and he'll do the same, then just copy him, since he knows it all! good luck!

reader, anonymous, writes (4 October 2010): the best way is to just try it. you'll get a feel for it pretty quick. who knows, you might not even like it. but dont worry if he says "you wont even tongue me", dont ever let a guy push you into doing something you dont want to, even if it is just kissing, you'll just end up regretting it.

At 13 I am surprised you have a boyfriend, and serious enough about him that you are willing to snog him. Kissing and holding hands is a big enough step, are you sure that you like this guy enough to have his tongue in your mouth and yours in his. Do not let him pressure you into a decision about what you are comfortable with.
That said, snoging is relatively easy. I find it best to kiss a little before using the tongue. While you kiss just gently and easily put your tongue to the back of your lips, and when it feels natural just push it into his mouth. It takes practice with each new partner that you have to understand how to snog best with each of them.
I hope this helps and that you consider your relationship with this boy before doing anything you are uncomfortable with.
