writes:about two months ago, i went out with this girl for few weeks (btw we're both 19) and it seemed to be going well until she told me she 'wasn't ready for a relationship'. so we broke up and sort of drifted apart and stopped speaking. then suddenly, i get a text from her last week asking if i wanted to go out for a drink with her at some point 'only as friends at the moment' and i said yes. this has confused me though because by saying 'at the moment' it implies that she still wants a relationship with me. thing is, i don't know how to approach this situation, do i go and just be friendly with her or should i try to let know that i still like her?

 Shes wants to have the cake and eat it too:-)Which means she considers you as a good friend for now and maybe a boyfriend on the waiting list for later(Well not as long as someone else comes along).If you are ok with it, play along, dont try to hard ti impress, treat her like one of the guys and be unpredictable. Maybe she just wants to get to know you more before making any kind of real commitment to you. She could have been hurt in the past. It's worth going out with her for this drink and just getting to know her. See where it leads.

reader, anonymous, writes (22 January 2010): okay i think she was serious about not wanting a relationship but she didnt wanna lose what you two already had. and since it has been a couple weeks maybe she is now ready but needs some times to catch up on missed time, some time to see if u still feel the same way and to see if she does too. just treat her like you did before :]
