I will shower daily, and wash and rinse 3 different times with soap and hot water. But by that same night, it stinks really badly again. I don't have any infections, as I have been getting regular doctor's visits, and that is one of the 1st things they do is check you for std's, plus I am married and I know for a fact that there is no way my husband could be cheating because he's either at work or with me and our 9 month old baby. I get his checks every week, so I know exactly how many hours he's at work, etc..so no suspicions there. This happened before too when I was pregnant. Why does this happen and is there anything I can do to prevent this? It is really gross!

Also, be sure to lightly wash around the clitoris and clitoral hood because there's little nooks and crannies that are commonly missed by a few blind swipes with a wash cloth. Wear cotton underwear at all times, and if the condition continues, ask your doctor. :)

I usually have a bath every day and swish water around inside myself, but only at the beginning of my bath so that there is nothing but pure water. Water is ph neutral and is perfectly fine for our vaginas. I find that I smell forever if I don't do this after sex. You shouldn't force water (or air) into the vagina when you are pregnant, so don't use a shower head. Also, if you a leaking at all, don't introduce water or even use a bath (showers are okay) until you know for sure that you are not leaking amniotic fluid. That doesn't usually happen until the last month. Sometimes the cervix is dilating and produces an effect much like a runny nose, but it is not amniotic fluid.
You will find that your odor is stronger just because you are expecting. Another reason is that all your mucus membranes are swollen and more moist, which will also affect your sense of smell and your sinuses, which often become stuffy or runny with pregnancy. Hope this helped.
