Tuyen agony auntHi, sadly I don't think period pains subside as you start to get older, they only stop when you are in your 40's. Some people get pains worse than others, some don't get it at all.

But there's a tablet you can take to stop the pain. It's called Ibuprofen, It is really effective to stop period pains. They are strong though.

I'm reading the leaflet for you, here's what it says;

"Take one tablet up to 3 times a day. The dose should not be repeated more frequently than every 4 hours, and not more than 3 tablets should be taken in any 24hour period".

Be careful with them because like I said, they are strong.

Hope this helps.

Take care,

Tuyen =) x

didda123 agony auntI remember when i was about your age my period pain was very bad i can vividly remember having very bad cramps but i must say that is all in the past and over the years i have had times when i would feel a bit crampy but then for a good while after no pain at all.

I think everyone experiences different levels of pain and mood swings for that matter i have never suffered with them though.

I am sure yours will ease off given time and especially as your mum doesn't seem to experience great pain.

superbunny agony auntI don't know if the pain gets any less worse, but perhaps you learn to tolerate it more?

Also, if your mom is on the pill that can sometimes stop period pains.

I started mine when I was 13, felt nothing and now they're worse than they were then

Every girl is different - hope this is of some help :) x
