I've had a "sort of boyfriend" before, but I don't think it counts because we never even held hands or kissed. Actually, I kicked him to the curb when I figured out he just wanted me as a sex toy and a trophy (no, we never had sex, either - I'm waiting for marriage). I don't feel like I really need a boyfriend. I have plenty of interests and plans to keep me happy and busy... But my friends make it seem like that makes me immature or a boy-repelent or something. Like there's something wrong with me that I don't constantly want a boy drooling over me. I mean, I get it - it must nice having someone who loves you and that you love back, and I certainly wouldn't mind it - but does not having / being desperate for a boyfriend make me somehow immature or weird?

it doesn't make you immature at all. Your friends may think it is weird but they are the ones who may regret what they did in highschool and be envious of your innocence.

You are not immature or weird. I also do not have a boyfriend. I have only had one. We never kissed or held hands. We never even hugged. I am yet to have my first kiss. My friends do not think I am immature or weird. So I really don't think your immature or weird. Remember you're not the only girl who doen't have a boyfriend. Oh, if your friends are making fun of you because of this just tell them to stop. A true friend would notice that it hurts your feelings.
