A female United States age 26-29, anonymous writes:

I have known one of my guy friend for a couple months months. We're really good friends and I'm really good friends with a lot of his friends. We have classes together at school and we talk the whole class and we both laugh a ton every time. He makes fun of me a lot in a joking way because he says i can't stop smiling and stuff and he looks me in the eyes for a really long time and compliments me on the smile and stuff but jokingly and he texts me a lot. He sits next to me a lot and we hang out sometimes outside of school with some of his other friends at the movies and places like that and he always notices when Im gone from school or anything. He always seems happy to see me and can always tell and seems concerned when Im sad. He is kind of like that with everyone though and his friends act a lot like him around me too so I dont know if he actually likes me as more than a friend and I really want to know because I really like him. Please help!

A female reader, incendia1990 United States +, writes (10 February 2011):

incendia1990 agony auntIt certainly sounds like he likes you! I'm actually in a similar situation currently. My advice to you: Go for it! The worst he could say is no. But considering his behavior, I don't see that happening. The key behaviors: Him staring into your eyes for a while and the fact that he texts you so much. Those COMBINED tell me that his 'joking' compliments aren't jokes, especially considering he notices when your gone and shows concern when your upset. ^-^ People joke on each other, especially boys, but sometimes, it's their way of showing that they like you, especially around your age. As I said, go for it! I think you'll be relieved. :)

Let me know how it goes! :) Good luck!
