This was the invitation he was offering you. You could of followed it up with yes how does next Friday sound.
Now that that opportunity has passed, next time you see him broach the subject again.

That was an invitation. He deferred it to your preferred time-schedule. He's waiting for you to let him know when the time would be right for you.
Bearing in-mind, we are still in the midst of the Covid-19 pandemic; and we still have to be mindful of our comings and goings, while exposing ourselves to others. You may still want to visit your family, and older-relatives. You have to be considerate of others; while you make decisions to invite others to your home, and when you go to theirs. You may be asymptomatic, but you could still be infectious. Sorry to dampen it for you; but your life and safety are important too!

Why not tell him the next time he comes over that NEXT time you will come to his house? For him to give you a time and date and... address.
