writes:I haven't been in a relationship in a long time and I've dated here and there nothing that has ever lasted on I would ever consider serious, recently I started talking to this amazing person from my past, we've know each other since high school days I knew and he even confessed that I was his high school crush, we always seem to find each the other on myspace or Facebook we always talk and then we lose contact but always manage to meet each other again and again its been 8 years since we've seen each other he recently got back from Afghanistan and after a couple of days invited me to his family/close friends BBQ in honor of his return, I was honored to be invited I was so excited I mean after he told me he was coming home something inside me felt to warm, excited fro his return even do I had not seen him. Well I ended up going it was an intimate affair with his best friends and family most of the friends are married and had there wives there, the chemistry was great he gave me his full attention we laugh I mean everything was amazing, I now can say that I truly do like this guy, I just don't know if he likes me? someone help please, like I said I'm clueless about how to react no one has made me feel this way in years

Hi there. It's pretty obvious that he likes you, you have to have some sense of that surely.
The most obvious one being that after several conversations via Facebook, etc. he asked you to something so very important in his life as a welcoming home from a tour of duty in Afghanistan. This is BIG !!
If it was me, I would feel somewhat priveledged. It's a special occasion, with his close friends and family all there. It's really nice that he asked you to go with him.
Yes, he definitely likes you.
It's clear you both enjoyed each other's company, and that's great. You have a good rapport between you.
So now, wait until he calls you again - don't jump in first, you don't want to appear needy or pushy. Men don't like that at all. Let him chase you.
When he does call you again, be genuinely interested in him and his life and show your interest in your voice. Just be yourself and be open and honest - and relax. Have fun.
Don't tell him your feelings just yet, but DO tell him that you had a lovely time at the BBQ the other day, and that you enjoyed his company. Just keep it simple and uncomplicated, don't get all mushy.
