He starts the conversation saying things such as 'Merry Christmas missy', 'Forgot to say, I'm glad you enjoyed the movie, you should also watch _. --- [name of another movie] It's amazing.'' and 'I hope you had a good Christmas by the way'. He has also tried to carry on the conversation by asking how far I am through a book. He replies back almost instantly and writes a lot. Last time I spoke to him, at one point he typed out so much so fast he made grammar errors and apologised for it.I've known this guy for years, but I don't know him very well... He was at my University but he was more of an acquaintance. We hadn't spoke to each other in years since last week. I randomly bumped into him while out one night last week, and spoke to him briefly, so I think that may have triggered it?I think I'm starting to get a slight crush on him. Turns out we have a lot in common and I've been thinking about him a lot. Could be be interested in me as well judging from the way he's initiated conversations with me?Would you guys bother initiating conversations online with a girl you wasn't interested in?

 Hello I believe he is interested and he wants to know you better. According to my experience, If I'm interested in a lass, I tend to initiate conversations with her or try to bump into her with intention of finding her whenever possible so I could talk. I'll also use words of endearment like dearie, flower and flirt/tease a bit to test waters !Also as a lad, I'll expect to chase the girl for a while as long as she doesn't play mind games and responds positively! Mind games do more harm than any good unless you want to attract desperate lads out there !See how often he talks to you daily.How enthusiastic he's about you and around you ?I guess the best hint you can get is by asking him something like " I'll be in neighbourhood tomorrow at this time , would you like to sit and talk / catch up/ etc?" Make sure it's a time when he'll be free.If he shows interest and says yes he can or something like that , he's very interested!Word of caution though : Let him charm you for a bit and take things slowly! Don't give in easily but don't be rude or play mind games! Show you are interested too but not too much ! If he still comes around, he's definitely into you !Good luck :)
