You could always get a numbing cream? I done this before getting a tattoo done, and that is one hell of a pain compared to any piercing! (trust, i have a few!) and i barely felt a thing! I can't see what country you're from but if it's the UK you can get this from Boots, if not, try a pharmacy. Just ensure that you go to a reputable piercer and clean it regulary- a saline soloution is best to begin with, any other products such as savlon etc or alcohol based products may cause over healing. Good luck!

It hurts like hell for about 5 seconds, or until the needle goes all the way through your tissue and comes out the other side. A few seconds later, it hurts like hell again as they wiggle the nose stud into your freshly pierced hole. For an instantaneous second you think you've really f***ed up but then it's over with and it looks awesome. Just use rubbing alcohol and keep it super clean afterwards. Turn the stud with your fingers every so often to keep it pliable and don't try to remove it or change the stud until completely healed (2-3 months!) If you really wanted to have your nose pierced, you won't regret it. A tiny diamond stud looks sexy and exotic. So the pain is worth it and really doesn't last long. Just take good care of it afterwards, follow all the directions and watch out for washrags, and bath towels when they're around your face, they can get caught on the stud and yank on it suddenly causing great pain! good luck.

I had mine done a few years ago and it did hurt- but it could've been because i went to a crappy piercer . (some of my friends got it done more recently and they say it didn't hurt) It didn't take too long to heal. A common problem is that a little lump can appear but if you clean it with warm salt water then it should go in a few days. If a piercing is worth having then it's worth putting up with the pain! I love mine! ? Good luck if you do get it done! :) (just make sure to go to a good piercer!)

I have not personally had this done but I know quite a few people who do. They say that it does sting but because it is not through any cartilage it won't be that bad. Make sure you go to a very clean proffesional place and clean it often after it is done while it is healing. This is one of those things that you don't want to look for the best deal. The nose is one of the lesser pained places to get a piercing.

If you really want it to be done, you should know that it is rather fast. But, there's some aftershock. It's kind of like getting braces; at first it seems quick and easy, then you're left with some minor soreness. The skin around the piercing will be sore, just like an ear piercing. That's mainly because that area hasn't been prodded as much as other places, and will be somewhat sensitive. Try this just to get an idea; pinch your ear lobe, then pinch your nostril. It should give you an idea on how much it may hurt. Other than that, the needle entrance is rather swift.
