I had a baby 7 months ago and have always had fear of my private area not feeling the same. Ive been so self conscious about it . Thanks to my son's father Im 100 percent self conscious again because according to him when a women quiffs it means there vagina is too big. i dont think our relationship will work out now because sex is an important part of the relationship to me and if he thinks a quiff is gross and a sign of being lose then i don't
think he's mature environment enough to be having sex in the first place...

Tell your boyfriend that you read only big penises make women do this, he will really love making you do this in the future!!
Seriously though, when you do it just laugh and ask him what hes doing to you!
I think it happens most with man on top so try other positions maybe?

It is a funny sound, but there was nothing I could do.we tried to stop and start again, but it was impossible to get rid of it. And with most men I never had it

Most women do it sometimes. When he thrusts in he can trap some air in there. It's normal and there's nothing you can do except laugh about it. It's not preventable. Sex isn't like a Disney Movie where everything is perfect and magical, it's awkward and messy sometimes and that's normal. Sometimes you queef, sometimes there's too much fluid, sometimes you sweat in weird places or elbow or knee each other accidentally. It happens and it will always happen and you need to just learn to laugh about it and get on with things and have fun.

Yes, every woman queef. Some more than others with certain men. For most part it's to do with the man pressing air into you, so make him adjust his movements and the queefing should stop, or happen less often.
Some women can queef intentionally, I never got the hang of that though. But I can feel when there's air in me, it feels uncomfortable. I usually take a pause then, to let it out. Or let my partner know so we can adjust positions to where it'll come out. I don't care how it sounds, the man understand what it is and that it's just something that happens from time to time.
You're the one who's getting your sex life ruined by this, not your boyfriend! Stop letting it bother you, and stop thinking back on the sex with THIS in mind. Focus on the great parts, and accept that queefing is just a part of it, like sweat and sperm and the smacking sounds of skin against skin. Sex isn't nice and tidy and clean. It's raw and dirty, so accept it as it is. Your boyfriend does. So should you.

I do sometimes
pressing on your abdomen or squeezing muscles won't help since the air is trapped in the vagina....
most men don't think twice about it once they realzie it's a queef and not a fart.

reader, anonymous, writes (16 July 2012): I assume that a queef is a fanny fart?! It just happens because air is beng pushed in at the same time as the the penis going in. I think that when there's less stopping and starting, it happens less. So, the fewer times he pulls out and and then re-enters, because each time he re-enters it pushes more air in. At least, that's my theory!
I don't think you can really find a way to stop it happening though. It's normal and absolutely beyond your control. I agree it is embarrassing though! When it happens to me I just sort of pretend it hasn't happened, or else make a joke of it.
I hope I made the right guess about queefing and haven't written an unnecessary post about fanny farts!

I think it just depends on the woman. I have before, but I don't all the time. Anytime you have a penis going in and out of you and pushing air in and out, you could possibly have this noise. I don't see why it would be a turn off to either person. It's natural.
