writes:I started on the pill about 3 weeks ago and was taking them correctly. However on Wednesday (I'm posting this on Sunday) I was travelling from uni to my boyfriend's and the sachet I had brought with me somehow fell out of my bag on the train so I couldn't take it- I needed a perscription at the other chemists and couldn't go back to uni before then. Anyway, this morning my period started and it wasn't due until next week, so I'm thinking that my body's thinking that this is the pill-free week when I'm meant to have my period... Though I thought now was too early for my body to be properly adapted to it. I'm going to the clinic tomorrow to try and book an appointment, but if I can't get in then - does anyone know if I should restart taking the pill as normal next Wednesday as this is when I 'stopped' taking it.

Mymy is verified as being by the original poster of the question Thanks, just to say I got back to taking the pill as normal again. The nurse said I need to use a condom for the first seven days but my boyfriend and I are already using them, so I'll be continuing with double protection.

Hi Hunny
Your body has reacted as if you had finished your prescribed amount of pills and usually within 3days without your pill you will get a period..You should go to the clinic to be safe, But I would have thought they would advise you to count this as your first period then start another pack as directed but use other precautions..I'll send you a link with loads of info on hunny,
