They're also your subconscious' way of preparing for tomorrow and dealing with things you didn't sort out yet. Dreams also indicate unfulfilled needs and desires.
You hiding from your friends is basically that, you're anxious about something got to do with them. Death is only a fear of loss, your brain is telling you you're losing someone or neglecting a friendship or it could just be saying you worry too much about them. Or you worry too much what they think.
Just link the people and events in your dreams to your waking life and you'll see they connect. Just realize what they mean by connecting the dots to real life events. Then deal with whatever issue they refer to and they'll go away.
I get running away dreams in which I can't escape my pursuer a lot, if I have unresolved issues. It's basically my brain telling me to stop running away my problems, that I need to sort them out. It's pretty cool that our subconscious does that actually. You may choose to ignore an issue in your life but you can't escape your dreams.

Dreaming about death is only an indicator of change; not death. Every change in life is the start of a new direction, therefore; a death is simply representing a death of our past!
Hiding from one of your friends means you are suspicious of your friendship, and don't trust her or your own feelings towards her inside of this friendship - so you need to examine this friendship and question it.

Freud does BUT 9 outta ten of his explanations are sex related. Your dreams are a product of you unconscious mind working its way through random things you saw or thought through out the day. When some one asks a question that you dont instantly have an answer to you subconscious runs a search thru all your memories. This search happens with you knowing about it. Have you ever been asked a question then woke up in the middle of the night with the answer?
I cant explain you being able to see the future i can explain how you make your own future and how you have a millon random non scene dreams that dont come true.
