I know the possibility of pregnancy already, but my question is I started taking Adderall December 2nd (doctors orders)and I was wondering if it might affect getting your period or not. I've been off birth control since Jan 2008 so my cycle regulated itself out over the summer. I track my period over the internet every month and my approx date was Nov 30th and it always seems to come a little late anyways, but never this late. I took a pregnancy test and it came out negative and I know that those things are not always accurate. I had a single spot of blood last week and a single spot of blood the week before that. Just kind of curious if anyone else who takes adderall or did at one time take it had problems with getting their period.

I plan on asking my doctor at my next visit, but i started adderall the begining of October, my period was 10 days late in November, and i was expecting to get it around Dec 18th, but its now the 24th and still nothing yet. I took a pregnancy test today just to be sure, but it was negitive. I have always had very normal, regular periods... so im thinking it must have something to do with the adderall.

Pregnancy tests aren't always accurate, like you said. Also maybe it's too soon to tell? I would go to your doctor/clinic, or buy another test and take it again in the next few days. To answer your question, i really can't. I don't have any idea, but you could google it. I'm sure you could find a better answer there. Good Luck!
