And me and my ex never really officially started at all because I found out that he(ex) was chasing another girl while he(ex)was with me. Nevertheless we had a "past" together.
MMmm should I go out with him to a date?

He's asked you out to dinner, this is a date.
Be careful with your feelings until you know he is serious about you. Tell him you have been hurt before and want to take things slowly.
As for the fact he is your ex's friend, just ask him what he thinks your ex would feel about this while out to dinner.
Good Luck!! xx

But I am unsure if he is just treating me as a good friend? Maybe he just wants to get to know me well only? I don't want to fall right into love affairs immediately as I am afraid of being hurt again. What should I do? As he is my ex gd friend.

Ya he likes you but don't read too much into it for the moment. He may just think you're a nice girl and want you as a friend. Keep chatting to him and see how it goes!!

He likes you. But he has to also be able to speak to you face to face, so get to know him more yet.
